Why This Resource Exists
Illinois law makes many government records available, subject to exemptions and access limits. The harder task is locating a person after a live jail entry disappears. Boone County Sheriff/Corrections owns the local booking and release transaction. The Boone Circuit Clerk records the court order and case result. The Illinois Department of Corrections operates the state offender search, while IDOC Parole and the Illinois Prisoner Review Board handle parts of post-prison supervision. Federal releases appear through federal systems.
