Boone County 24-Hour Release Options
As of July 16, 2026, the official Boone County Corrections menu does not publish a browsable list of people released today. It has no rolling 24-hour release view, archive, stated update cycle, or public field list. The county does link to Illinois VINE, which checks one named person. VINE is useful for a custody event, but it is not a list of everyone who left the Boone County Correctional Facility during a day.
This distinction prevents a common error. A current inmate roster, if one appears through another search result, describes people still held. It cannot be relabeled as a release list. Search results for Boone counties in Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, and other states are also unrelated to Belvidere, Illinois. The local trail should use Boone County Illinois pages, Illinois VINE, or another clearly identified Illinois agency.
Check Boone County Releases Today
A same-day inquiry works best when each source answers its own question. VINE reports the event sent by the participating agency. Boone Corrections owns the physical booking and release transaction. The Circuit Clerk owns the court order. One source should not be stretched to cover all three.
- Open Illinois VINE through the statewide page or the Boone Corrections link. Search the known person and compare the reporting agency and identifiers.
- Read the exact event. A release event supports that the named agency ended its custody episode, but may still reflect a transfer.

- When the actual time, reason, or destination matters, use the Boone County request portal for the existing booking and release record.

If the Boone log names IDOC, ICE, the U.S. Marshals Service, or another county as the destination, follow the person into that receiving system. Boone custody ended, but confinement may not have ended.

The Boone County Sheriff IL app is an official-branded OCV product, but the researched listing did not advertise inmate lookup, recent bookings, recent releases, booking photos, or mugshots. Its stated features included agency news, tips, a staff directory, sex-offender information, and public-safety material. The listing was new and updated June 25, 2026, so its live menu can change.
The app should not be treated as a hidden Boone County 24-hour release roster. A future verified inmate feature could change that conclusion, but only the live official listing or working feature would support such a claim. Until then, VINE, Corrections, FOIA, and the Clerk remain the documented routes.
Getting Home After Boone Release
Boone County Transit is a door-to-door county transportation service, not a fixed-route jail shuttle. The county transportation page lists 815-975-9059 and points riders to BCIL Transit. Neither source says jail staff book rides, supply fare, or promise immediate pickup from the correctional facility.
A released person or family should ask the transit provider about reservations, operating times, eligibility, fare, and whether uncertain jail processing can be accommodated. Corrections should confirm where lawful pickup is allowed. The county's N1 Menominee Street door instruction applies to self-surrender intake. It does not establish a release exit or family pickup point.
No sourced Boone rule states a routine release time, weekend schedule, or post-release property window. Calling ahead is more accurate than relying on practices from another jail.
Boone Bond Pages Need Context
Boone County still publishes detailed bonding-out instructions. They describe remote and telephone payment, facility payment, cashier's-check payees, and a seven-percent remote transaction fee. Illinois later changed its pretrial system, so this older page is not proof that payment is required for a current release decision.
The court now determines detention, release, and conditions under the governing procedure. Older matters, warrants, or a specific court-ordered sum may explain why payment instructions remain online.
